We are happy to announce the fulfillment of the project “Investment in recycling packaging technology for monomaterial tube for cosmetic products” under Grant Agreement № 2020/551852 of 20.05.2021, Program “Business Development, Innovation and SMEs, Bulgaria”, Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

Thanks to the financial support from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, there were purchased and already integrated into production a tube folding machine, a printing machine, a syringe and a mold for foreheads and caps. As a result of that Aroma has started to offer its products in an environmentally friendly way of packaging, providing packaging that is ready and easy to recycle. There were made sustainable optimization in terms of reduction usage of substances harmful to nature (inks and others). The new technical equipment is fully in line with the highest requirements of environmental protection and saving of energy.

The next steps for future development of the project are: use of up to 100% recycled material (PCR) in the foil of the tube, its use in more and more product categories, as well as patenting of the development.

We would like to thank to our project partner – ELNA AD and the Fund operator for their cooperation and support.

We strongly recommend all companies to explore the opportunities offered by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and take advantage of them for the development of their business.

Before the Project

The need of Aroma to have а recyclable packaging technology for monomaterial tube for cosmetic products comes from our commitment to technological excellence, operational efficiency and sustainability.

The situation before implementation of such technology is that the tubes Aroma uses for cosmetic products and products for personal hygiene are made from multi-layer foil. This is a composite material and the packaging made of it becomes an unrecyclable waste at the end of its use that generates a high footprint on nature. Moreover, our current technological equipment does not meet the latest ecological requirements for high energy efficiency, as well as the manufacturing capacity that our developing company needs.

The overall objective of the project is to invest in a green technology that could provide increased production capacity and 100 % eco-friendly, ready for recycling packaging for cosmetic products.

Thanks to the financial support from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, we now have the opportunity to start a new direction in our business development – production of an innovative recyclable and sustainable tube for toothpastes and cosmetic products made of mono material.
